I thought it was CCP being clever. People spend more money and time on the game if the weapons keep being nerfed or buffed. If everything stayed the same, it would get boring.
I say keep the changes coming, but never nerf the sniper rifle again! |

The range reduction? You couldnt be useful at that range. Why would you want to snipe from 600m? Grow some balls and get in the fight.
The range reduction was really harsh. 500m would have been enough. Now some of my favourite spots are useless, yet I can still redline snipe in other maps. |

Objective locations are about 20 meters and you cannot shove the entire army in a space that small.
Either way the nerfs and buffs are a way to ensure that any kind of customers could spend money have he can then believe the items he bought are relatively just as useful as the items someone else bought.
A car with power windows vs a car with convertible top. Same car model different experience but similar performances still is the goal we are trying to achieve.
We are not trying to make a sports car that is just as expensive as your hoop de ville and forcing sedan players to buy the sporters because the hoop de ville car is so insufficient.
I just miss some of the spots I used to get a good number of kills from. When I sit on the enemy redline, I can't get the guys sat near my redline now! In fairness, the changes to the recticle and range have made me whip out my logi suit a bit more often, but ultimately I'm playing a lot less than I was a month ago partly due to the changes - I can't see whether I'm on target as easily with the new recticle, and find that I need to move around more, which isn't so easy when you only have one fully functioning arm! |
